WILD WALES TRUST is a proposal to gather under one name all those concerned with protecting the wild uplands of Wales from development and industrialisation, so that their various expertise can be coordinated for best results. This is not to be confused with rewilding! We feel that nature does just fine if simply left alone. For decades, the big spaces of Wales have been left in peace because, apart from rough grazing, they are not considered useful. Suddenly they are now at risk from gigantic Wind Turbines that would dominate the scene for many miles around, meaning that the free and spacious uplands of Wales could be spoilt forever.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN INCREASING DEMAND FOR ENERGY, JUST AS THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN INCREASING NEED, AS COSTS CONTINUALLY RISE, TO KEEP MAKING MORE AND MORE MONEY. WE FEEL IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO TURBINES ON THE BACKBONE OF WALES AND THE CONTINUOUS NEED FOR MORE POWER—AS AGAINST THE BUSINESS REQUIREMENT FOR UNLIMITED GAIN—SHOULD BE EXAMINED IN DEPTH, BEFORE PLANS ARE MADE TO PUT MORE TURBINES ANYWHERE ON NON-RESIDENTIAL LAND. THE PLANET'S TOP-RATED CREATURE HAS THE NECESSARY INTELLIGENCE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WITHOUT FURTHER DAMAGE TO ITS HABITAT.
